In 2021, in the midst of the pandemic, more than 350 people from 44 different states or provinces in 4 countries were able to come together at the first virtual PKU Family Camp hosted by PKU Northwest. PKU News had the honor of sponsoring many of these participants. Following this success, we made a decision: camp was so important to so many that we needed to maintain virtual access and expand the reach of the camp by making it part of PKU News’ core programs. PKU Family Camp will launch this June, and will be supported by a new staff member at PKU News, Community Engagement Coordinator Nikki Weinlein. The in-person camp will once again take place at the Washington Family Ranch in Antelope, Oregon.
