Unified to Support Metabolic Disorders (USMD-PKU)

Description:
Established in 2005, Unified to Support Metabolic Disorders (USMD-PKU) is the realization of parents whose children inspired them to create a non-profit organization to help enrich the lives of individuals living with PKU and Allied Disorders. The organization is made up of a completely voluntary work-force that began in South Texas and is spreading across America. The organization has local volunteers in Missouri, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and more to come (see our website for updates)! Our goal is to create a unified community to do more for individuals with these disorders by working together!

We provide the following Services (updates on www.usmd-pku.org):

• New Parents of children affected by these disorders - We have been where you are today! Please contact us so we can support you and your family with information.
• Ongoing Support for Individuals and Families - We work with local volunteers (like you) to provide support via social and other activities to your community.
• Low Income Assistance - We work with our sponsors to provide support for low-income families.
• Federal Legislation Advocacy - Join our efforts to ensure that all disorders receive insurance coverage for their medically necessary treatments.
• PKU Research Fundraising - With additional PKU Research, better treatments are around the bend and together we can help find them more quickly!
• Unifying Across America - We want to work with you to make things happen in your area!
